Abstract

This study aims to develop a prediction model for corn raw material purchases based on the number of daily suppliers using the simple linear regression method. The study used a quantitative approach with the number of suppliers as the independent variable and the amount of purchases as the dependent variable. The research stages included data collection, data cleaning, linear regression analysis, and model evaluation. The results showed the regression equation Y = 74.55 + 21.90X, which indicates that every additional supplier increases purchases by 21.90 units. The coefficient of determination value of R² = 0.99 indicates that the model has a very high level of accuracy because 99% of purchase variations can be explained by the number of suppliers. It can be concluded that the number of daily suppliers has a positive effect on the purchase of corn raw materials and the resulting regression model can be used as a decision-support tool in inventory management.
