IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM INFORMASI MANAJEMEN PERSEDIAAN PADA USAHA TEMPAT MAKAN MENGGUNAKAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE WATERFALL
Abstract
Inventory management practices are among the most critical aspects for companies involved in food distribution. Access to information regarding stock demand and supply is essential to ensure smooth operations and respond to the constantly changing market challenges. However, many distribution companies face difficulties in stock management, including recording errors, inaccurate inventory data, and delays in receiving information, all of which affect stock optimization and distribution efficiency. This study aims to design, implement, and document an inventory management information system using the Waterfall methodology. The Waterfall methodology includes the following activities: planning, analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance. It was chosen because each step in system development must be carefully planned and executed sequentially, with each phase starting only after the previous one is completed. The system is designed to automate processes including data retrieval, stock control, tracking of incoming and outgoing goods, as well as generating real-time periodic reports and stock balances. The implementation results show that this inventory management information system has positively improved operational efficiency, enhanced inventory data accuracy, and minimized the risks of stockouts and overstocking.
