Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Web Programming learning and to measure the improvement of students' understanding after the use of AI in the learning process. The background of this study is based on the low level of students' understanding of web programming concepts, including programming logic, syntax, and the integration between front-end and back-end. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pretest and posttest design. The subjects of this study were students taking the Web Programming course, consisting of approximately 15–20 participants. The research procedures included pretest, implementation of AI-assisted learning, and posttest to measure students' improvement. In addition, questionnaires were used to collect data on students' responses toward the use of AI. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding, indicated by the increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores. Students also gave positive responses, stating that AI helped them understand materials more easily, improved learning efficiency, and increased their independence in solving programming problems. Therefore, Artificial Intelligence can be considered an effective and innovative learning medium in Web Programming courses.
