Abstract

The employee attendance system at the RPTRA in Ciracas District, East Jakarta, still relies on manual record keeping that requires physical presence in the office, thereby hindering work efficiency, especially for staff who are frequently assigned outside the office. This study aims to develop a web-based employee attendance application that offers flexibility and accuracy in recording attendance, while also supporting real-time monitoring and the generation of structured reports. Development was carried out using the CodeIgniter 4 framework, PHP programming language, the SB Admin template based on Bootstrap 4, and a MariaDB/MySQL database. By applying the Agile Software Development methodology, we implemented two key features: automatic location validation (geolocation) and integration with work schedules, enabling attendance recording both at the office and at field assignment locations. The pilot project at RPTRA Cibubur Berseri demonstrated that the system successfully streamlined the reconciliation process and automatically produced daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports. Functional testing showed that all features operated according to requirements, indicating that the system can enhance efficiency, improve data accuracy, and promote staff discipline. This research is expected to serve as a reference for developing similar systems in other RPTRA facilities.
