Abstract

Fajar Indah Convection is a business engaged in clothing production, with an ordering system that is still conducted manually. The paper-based ordering process and direct communication often lead to various issues, such as order recording errors, production delays due to a lack of organized information, and difficulties in tracking order statuses. Therefore, a digital ordering system is needed to improve efficiency and accuracy in managing customer orders. This study aims to develop a desktop-based clothing ordering system using the Waterfall method as a software development approach. The Waterfall method is chosen because it follows a systematic and structured process, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This approach ensures that each phase is completed sequentially before proceeding to the next stage, reducing the risk of errors in system development. In this study, system requirements were analyzed by involving business owners and customers as primary users. Based on the analysis results, a system was designed with several key features, including order management, customer data management, and transaction reporting. The implementation results show that this web-based ordering system effectively addresses the issues previously encountered in the manual ordering process. Additionally, the business can manage order data more efficiently and compile transaction records without relying on manual documentation.
