WEB BASED HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM USING FACE RECOGNITION AND GEOLOCATION (CASE STUDY OF PT META BUMI SYSTEMA)
Abstract
Human Resources (HR) are all permanent and non-permanent employees in an organization who have intellectual, emotional, and spiritual abilities that can be utilized to achieve organizational goals. HR plays a very important role in the company, so if it is not managed properly, it can disrupt the running of the company. The HR department is a department that specifically manages HR in the company. The problem faced by the HR department at PT Meta Bumi Systema is that it still uses manual methods using paper documents and excel using several HR management methods. Such as the attendance process which still uses two methods, namely fingerprint devices and attendance forms, then leave/permit/sick applications which still use paper forms, and the last is payroll which is still done manually by summarizing attendance and leave/permit/sick applications processed in excel. This manual system is incapable of handling large amounts of data and the need to retrieve information quickly and accurately. This study aims to simplify the process of attendance, leave/permit/sick applications, and payroll, as well as improve the accuracy and efficiency of HR data management. This study is expected to make employees and the HR department easily carry out HR administration functions that are integrated into one digital platform. Attendance is made using face recognition and geolocation then for leave/permit/sick submission is made online. This research uses the waterfall software development method which includes analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The information system is built using Nuxt Js, Laravel, and Postgre Sql as a database. The test results using blackbox testing show that the system is running according to its functionality with an achievement of 100% while the results of the User Acceptance Test (UAT) with a Likert scale get a value of 77.56% which is included in the good category in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of HR data management, can make it easier for employees to take attendance, apply for leave/permit/sick, and can help the HR department recap data and payroll
