Abstract

This employee performance appraisal system is designed to facilitate the employee appraisal process. This system is designed by utilizing a system found on a computer, namely a decision support system (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is a weighted addition method, the concept of this method is to find the weighted summation of the performance appraisal of each weight of all criteria by a mathematical calculation process.

In this study, a Decision Support System (DSS) was designed to facilitate the employee performance appraisal process. The concept of the SAW method is to find the highest rating value from the weighted sum of the alternative values on each criterion by mathematical calculations. The criteria used in the selection with the SAW method are the criteria for work ability, human relations, work responsibility, discipline, work creativity, target achievement, and attendance.
