Abstract

The Community Health Center (Puskesmas) is a functional organizational unit that organizes comprehensive, integrated, equitable health efforts that are acceptable and affordable to the community. The purpose of this study was to make an Expert System Application to detect skin diseases in infants according to the data available at the Health Center. The system development method used is the Extreme Programing (XP) method with the stages of work including planning, design, coding and testing. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) which includes use cases, activity diagrams, and class diagrams, the software used is PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) with MySQL databases and using the Naïve Bayes and Forward Chaining methods. The final result of making this application is to make it easier for patients, doctors and midwives to detect skin diseases in toddlers at Health Center.
